Buckle Up Entertainment Attends American Film Market In LA
Dan attended the American Film Market for the first time this year on behalf of his new film and television production company Buckle Up Entertainment. Dan was on an extended trip to California for the screenings of his latest short film All That Glitters starring Sophia Myles at the San Francisco Short Film Festival, Newport Beach Film Festival and Studio City Film Festival where he subsequently won “Best Foreign Drama” and “Best Foreign Short”.
Dan met with various producers, sales agents and distributors and ended up securing a sales agent for his directorial debut feature I-SELF on the strength of its script and pitch deck. The psychological thriller is set in near-future London and tells the story of a medical student whose sense of identity fractures when a family death opens a door to his repressed memories.
The ambitious project already has an experienced casting director and line producer attached, a detailed budget and post-production equity deal and Buckle Up Entertainment is now in the process of raising finance.
