Sophia Myles & Alec Newman Join Domestic Violence Drama
Dan’s production company Buckle Up Entertainment today announced that it has attached Sophia Myles and Alec Newman to play the lead roles in its upcoming short film production All That Glitters.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have Sophia and Alec on board,” said Dan. “Alec starred in my first feature film as screenwriter Long Time Dead and it’s great to be collaborating with him on a project as director. He’s such a talented and authentic performer and I can’t wait to get stuck into the part with him.”
“I have been a fan of Sophia’s for a long time and after seeing her stand-out performance in the short November 1st I knew she would be perfect for the complex and challenging role. I look forward to working with them both in the weeks to come.”
Pre-production is underway with a 5-day shoot scheduled for early next month in and around London. Dan is also producing the film and it will be the first production for his new company for which he intends to build a slate of international commercial features and series projects.
The domestic violence drama fantasy tells the story of a desperate teenager who snatches a rich woman’s handbag, but in a bizarre twist of fate discovers that her life is not as rosy as it seems and that they have more in common than he realizes.
